President

My name is Katie Wang. the president of AACO Cincinnati Youth Chapter, and a Junior at Cincinnati Country Day School. I am passionate about API youth empowerment and youth leadership development. Currently I am a board member of my school’s EDI Council and a Teen Ambassor Board member to Ohio Attorney General . I have earned National Community Service Impact Award because of my devotion to volunteering work and community service. Some fun facts about me are that I am a national award winning competitive dancer, and I love drawing and golfing, and skiing is my favorite sport.

My name is Sam Cao, I’m the chair of AACO Cincinnati Youth Chapter. I’m a senior at William Mason High School. I am Ohio’s youngest to ever run for office in the state’s history as I launched a campaign bid for state representative my junior year. Outside of AACO, I’m interested in humanitarian work and filmmaking.

Vice President

My name is Julia Zhu, the Vice President of AACO Youth Chapter, and a junior at Seven Hills. I was the secretary for the AACO Youth Chapter last year and have been part of this organization since about 8th grade and have participated in numerous events since then. I play viola, and I’m currently part of CSYO’s Philharmonic orchestra, and was second chair for viola at SWRO (Southwest regional orchestra). I also enjoy playing golf, and I was the sectionals champ for this year. Our team went to states for the first time ever and placed 8th. I also enjoy hanging out with friends and family.

I’m Kyle Wang, I’m currently a sophomore at Seven Hills and the AACO Cincinnati Youth Chapter co-chair of membership and this is my first year with AACO. I enjoy sports, music, and the sciences. I play both baseball and golf and I’m currently a second violinist for CSYO’s Philharmonic orchestra. I also placed second in gravity vehicle for Scioly regionals last year and I have completed an online course in immunology offered by Rice University.

My name is Owen Liu, I am currently a Sophomore at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, and Chair of Community Outreach of AACO Cincinnati Youth Chapter. This is my first year associating with AACO and I hope I can benefit the organization. A fun fact about me is that I swam all the way to districts last year as a Freshman in high school swimming.

Richard Jia is a Junior at William Mason High School and Co-Chair of Digital Technology of the AACO Youth Chapter. He has spent nearly seven years studying in China and is fluent in Mandarin. As an American-born Chinese and second-generation immigrant, Richard aspires to empower and positively impact other Asian Americans.

My name is Mulan Qi. I am the AACO Cincinnati Youth Chapter Secretary, and this is my first year with AACO. I am currently a freshman at Mason High School. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, piano, and hanging out with my friends and family. I have also volunteered in many AACO events such as the Stop Asian Hate Rally at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, May 2021 Mid-Autumn Festival, Candidate Forums, etc.

I am a freshman at William Mason High School. I am the Member of Large for AACO Cincinnati Youth Chapter Board. My hobbies are video games, soccer, and watching anime.  I enjoyed volunteering at the multiple AACO events , such as May 2022 Asian Culture Festival, Asian Art Festival, APAPA Cincinnati National Movement, Cincinnati Food Festival, Candidate Forum, etc.  I would love to help out , which is especially fun to be with my friends.

I’m Sophia Li, the co-chair for membership at AACO Cincinnati Youth Chapter, and I’m currently a freshman at Mason High School. Currently I debate and I’ve won and placed in international tournaments, I play piano and violin, which I currently am in CSYO 1st violin for ( 2nd year ) and I’m also in my school’s symphony ( top orchestra ). Some school clubs I participate in our Red Cross Club ( due to my tremendous passion towards volunteering and educating those who aren’t as privileged ), Scioly, and Student government. I’m extremely excited to see the club grow not only in strength but in impact as well, and I”m so ready for a great year of prosperous achievement and pride towards our asian-american community!

My name is Marley Feng, and I am the Co-Chair of Communication for the Youth Chapter of AACO. I am a freshman at Mason High School, and this is my first year with AACO. I play violin, and I’m the assistant concert-master of CSYO’s Concert Orchestra. I also partake in a variety of clubs, like Science Olympiad, and Student Government. I enjoy playing tennis, and played in Mason’s JV tennis team this year.

I’m Alex Tran and I am currently a Junior at Indian Hill High School. As the co-chair for Digital Technology, I am excited to help develop our online resources and connect with more people. At school I am part of the student council and I participate in the robotics and science olympiad team. Outside of school I enjoy playing ultimate frisbee on the Flying Pig team and violin with the CSYO Philharmonic Orchestra.

I am Alex Wang, the chair of Power of Music in the AACO Cincinnati Youth Chapter. I am the current Concert Master for Cincinnati Junior String and Mason Middle School 7th grade Orchestra.  Over the years of my violin studying, I have accumulated many awards and prizes which include Buckeye Audition State Winner in Elementary String, first place for Musician 13 and Under all instrument in 2022 Jack and Lucille Wonnell Memorial Young Artists Concerto Competition,  and Third Place in Junior Division for the NMTA  (National Music Teacher Association) competition. Despite my busy schedule, I am enthusiastic about giving back to the community. I am the youngest Youth Ambassador for Music and Wellness Coalition Ohio, have been a key youth volunteer for Alliance of Chinese Culture; Arts USA, and perform in various community events every year.  Besides my deep involvement in music, I love sports. I play for the Mason Middle School Boy Golf team, I enjoy cross country, and skiing is the sport that I enjoy the most.

My name is Avril, and I’m a sophomore at Mason High School. I’m currently serving as the treasurer on the AACO Youth Board, and I have a twin sister (who is also on the youth board!). I was born in Toronto, Canada and have lived and studied in Mason, Ohio and Guangzhou, China. In my spare time, I enjoy baking (which I am admittedly not the best at, as evidenced by an extensive and sort of impressive repertoire of burnt goods), hiking, and tormenting my sister (this I am incredibly good at).

I'm Audrey, and I'm a sophomore at Mason High School. I am currently the Co-Chair of Communication on the AACO Youth Board, and I was a Member at Large last year, but have participated in many events regarding the Asian American community in the past, even before joining AACO. I am also fluent in Mandarin, allowing for more connections with Mandarin speaking people.
